Interior Door Styles

Capitol Insurance Restorations ImagesChoosing an interior door style can be a fun project that involves both designing and planning. There are a number of stylish doors to choose from that will also serve as a very functional addition to any room. Here are some of the most common types of commercial doors business owners choose:
  • Passage Doors

These swing open and close on two or more hinges, and are the most commonly used doors in homes and businesses. Most are pre-hung doors and come with a door frame already built in
  • Louver Doors

Very similar to passage doors but the panels have been replaced with wooded slats, and are often used for closets and storage closets since they provide ventilation
  • Sliding Doors

Typically glass but sometimes wooden, these doors are often used to connect the home to a deck or patio. They are also used for closets and sometimes glass showers
  • Bifold Doors

Most often used for wide closets, these are essentially folding doors on tracks. Many people use them as doors to their pantry closet, bedroom closet, and other areas where space is very important
  • French Doors

Very elegant and more expensive, french doors are a set of two doors that will fold in or out of a connecting room. Most of the time french doors are made of glass and wood
  • Pocket Doors

These historical doors are making a comeback recently. They are doors that slide into a wall and can be hidden when not in use.

*When choosing an interior door be sure to take into consideration the flow of your floor plan to make sure the color, texture, and style of the door matches up with your overall theme.
*We only install doors that are up to code for fire safety requirements.
